Abstract (EN)

While writing a script from the short film thesis titled From Underneath my Hoodie, inspiration was taken from many hypotheses and theories of Freud. There are many sub-texts and metaphorical symbols, psychological factors and unconscious interactions in the short film. Eliminating some social problems and prejudices were targeted at the stage of production of the script of the short film. Stealing is regarded as bad, immoral and as money for jam by societies and people. However, the first subject that was handled at the stage of writing the script was that every baby is born as good, however as a result of living conditions, psychological, family, unconscious factors and insufficient opportunities a person ends up in a bad and unethical lifestyle. The aim of this short film is not to defend the bad but to emphasize that the people having a bad occupation or habit do not have to mean that they are not good people. It can be appreciated that while making this short film the aim was not to defend every thief but it is also necessary not to criticize every thief. The questions ?Does every thief have to be bad? Or should every bad people be thieves and answers thereto were approached with as much care as possible and as impartially as possible. Within the scope of the short film, it was indicated that Sadık shaped his life with psychological, unconscious, spiritual deprivations, longing for the mother and desiring factors and that he is first a human being and then a thief. It qualifies as a glimpse into the life of Sadık, who is one of the persons regarded as bad within the society. Inspiration was taken from Sigmund Freud?s theories and hypotheses for the method of the short film. A short film was made that tries to tell how much childhood traumas, unconscious damages affect us in the way of becoming who we are now by using such subconscious symbolic narrations again and that invites to approach the lives of such people in a little bit more unprejudiced manner. It was shown that Sadık is a conscientious parent with responsibilities despite being a thief. These habits of Sadık, who is a thief and drug addict, could not be sufficient to make him a bad person. Instead of criticizing Sadık, why he was in this situation has been interrogated by handling in terms of society and societal dimension. Keywords: Unconscious, Parent, Conscience, Thief, Society.
