Secularism and its critisizm in term of teology -In the context of belief in the hereafter-

In this study, the criticism of Secularism in the context of belief in the Hereafter has been made from the point of view of Kalam. Secularism, which can be roughly defined as "the process in which the social and cultural spheres are removed from the dominance of religious institutions and symbols", is a trend that emerged in Europe in the last few centuries and became influential on a global scale in a short time. Along with many factors in its emergence, the irrational dogmatic teachings and practices in Christianity also played an important role. Secularism is careful to position itself as profane. However, accepting science as the only reference source by not resorting to anything sacred, putting only the human being in the center, prioritizing only his comfort and welfare, and the discourse of bringing heaven to the world inevitably position him against religion. The study consists of an Introduction and two parts. In the introduction part, the subject, purpose and importance of the study are presented and the scope and method applied in the study are included. In the first chapter, the conceptual analysis of Secularism has been made and the differences in the meaning of the concept in the historical process have been examined. The reasons that triggered the emergence of secularism in the West, the Secularism Theories put forward for the future, and the relationship of Secularism with Christianity are also evaluated in this section. The second part is devoted to belief in the Hereafter. The possibility and necessity of the Hereafter life has been revealed with reference to the Qur'an. In the following part, the rational evidences put forward by Kalam scholars and the individual and social benefits of belief in the Hereafter have been discussed, and it has been proved that this belief is a fundamental belief that cannot be ignored and is considered necessary by human nature.
