Evaluation of teacher's opinions and will education in secondary school Religious Culture and Ethics Education program

Various, indivual and social problems that increasing around the World, lack of control over behavior, reaching serious levels of violence and intolerance serious levels of violence and intolerance seriously affect children and young generations. It has enabled many religious educators and families in various countries, international organizations and Turkey to carry out important studies in the field of effective religios education and moral values education in order to get rid of these problems that reduce the quality of life of the individual and maket he individual and society unhappy. Because issues such as ncreasing individualization and the formation of uncontrolled freedom in our country have made the training of the internal controlling will important and it has become more and more felt in thr individual and social sense. The aim of our study; is to examine the will education in terms of development and education, to examine how the Secondary School Religious Culture and Moral Education Curriculum, which is implemented in secondary schools, contributes to the will education and how it takes place in the teaching processes, and to evaluate it in terms of teacher views and to develop suggestions for applications that can contribute to willpower education. In our study, document analysis and semi-structured interview technique, which are qualitetive research methods, were used. Our study consists of an introduction and four main parts: In the first part, a conceptual framework was created by trying to explain the definition of the concept of will, its basic components, approaches and developmental theories of modern psychology, based on the literature. In the second part, education and will relations and will training in teaching environments were discussed in terms of education dimensions. In the third part, the Secondary School Religious Culture and Moral Education Curriculum and the textbooks were examined in terms of their contribution to will education. In the last part, the contribution of the Secondary School Religious Culture and Ethics Curriculum to the will training was evaluated by using the opinions of DKAB teachers. In the conclusion part of our study, in addition to the findings we have obtained, suggestions that we have made based on these findings are also presented.
