Abstract (EN)
Dressing has become a necessity of man against nature. The understanding of art presented to nature by the human mind, which is unique in nature, has also been reflected in clothing since ancient times. From history to the present, the adventure of dressing has been a process that reaches from a necessity to works of art, from there to the emergence of the concept of design, and to fashion with the contribution of aesthetics, which is the gift of philosophy. Clothing production, which was originally a craft, was industrialized with the development of technology in the historical process and transformed through revolutions that created breaking points in history, and finally showed a development up to the production of smart textiles using nanotechnology. This process is under the influence of economy as well as art and technology. The textile economy started its historical journey with the trade of raw materials, evolved into competition by entering the dominance of the machine with the industrial revolution, and reached the pinnacle of quality and branding in the postmodern era. Our study will focus on the subject of textile, which has such a wide network of relations, the effects of socio-political factors on Turkish textile in the historical context and the position of Turkish textile in the world in the field of branding. The phenomenon of fashion has always attracted the attention of people, but this issue has never been on the agenda as concretely as it is today. The fashion industry encompasses all aspects of human society and best illustrates the times we live in. With the effect of developing technology and globalizing economy, the distinction between the fashion and design industry and the textile and ready-made clothing industries is gradually disappearing. The new field of competition is now branding and adapting to the changing market demands and fashion. The key to the success of multinational companies, which have a global impact on today's textile and fashion industries, is their ability to adapt to changing conditions with strategic management, and their power to influence the fashion and textile industries with branding management. In order for our domestic fashion industry to gain a stronger position in the textile and fashion market in global economic conditions where international competition is getting hotter, it must first analyze its current situation and reach its targeted brand value with a strategy that optimally manages its strengths and weaknesses. Turkey has a deep-rooted textile and design experience coming from its history. In the historical development process of Turkish textile; We will also discuss the role of technology, design, fashion and branding phenomena in the Turkish textile sector, while examining what difficulties he faced, how he seizes the opportunities he took, at what points he made mistakes and to what extent he was affected by sociopolitical events. Keywords : Modernization, Sociopolitical events, Textile.
