Abstract (EN)

There are permanent traces in the minds of every period of humanity from birth to death. Preschool period is the most important period in the life in which the permanent marks are the most intense and the individual shapes his future in this period by affecting the subconscious. In this context, the importance of qualified pre-school education emerges. A qualified pre-school education should include appropriate values education for children. This study was conducted in order to examine the attitudes of parents to values education in pre-school intuitions. In the introduction, information about the problem, purpose, importance, assumptions and limitations of the research is given. The method, data collection tool and the process in the preparation of data collection tool was mentioned. In the conceptual and theoretical framework of the study, the concept of education has been evaluated and pre-school education has been examined in the light of a wide literature. Values education has been studied. The quality of religious education is discussed. The relationship between pre-school education and religious education is examined. In the findings and comments section; the data obtained from the survey conducted with 205 parents in four different preschool education institutions that provide values education are presented. The reasons for requesting pre-primary education of parents were investigated and it was concluded that most of the parents wanted preschool education for their children to take values education and socialize. Research data suggest that the values given in preschool institutions are the most important factor affecting the choice of parents. Parents stated that they noticed positive changes in children's behaviors in preschool institutions supported by values education. These changes have been demonstrated by the data obtained especially in gaining values, socializing the child and pre-primary education. Results and recommendations section; the results of the research are discussed. Suggestions were made according to the results obtained. Afterwards, the researchers who were interested in similar studies were presented with ideas for the completion of this research.
