Abstract (EN)
Cancer is the biggest health problem of the era we live. Head and neck cancers are responsible for about 5-8% of all cancers. One of the effective treatment ways of cancer is also radiotherapy. In order to capture the highest level, the success rate in radiotherapy requiresa very good planning and treatment technique. For this, treatment devices having advanced technologyand planning units, but the most important point is that an experienced radiotherapy team who can use these devicesare necessary. In this study, skin dose of head and neck cancer patients coming to the clinic of radiotherapyfor irradiation was determined with MOSFET dosimeter system. The measurement results were compared with quantities determined in treatment planning system for points taken for measurement. Thus, whether the patient was exposed to the desired dosage or not was checked.The average of ten of the skin does successive measured with MOSFET were taken for per patient. The obtained averages were compared with doses of treatment planning system. Performing statistical analyzes, the average difference was determined to be 0.481% for the expected and measured values of the skin doses in patients. In the use of in vivo dosimeter system including the MOSFET, tolerances of ± 5% is generally applied. Patient treatment plannings is concluded to be correct, because of the result obtained in this studies stays in %5 tolerance range.
