Abstract (EN)

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a hepatotropic, non-cytopathic DNA virus that causes acute and chronic hepatitis, which is associated with a high risk of developing cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. L-6 is one of the major inflammatory cytokines, IL-10 is recognized as a key cytokine regulating the immune response to HBV infection. The aim of study, the effects of cytokines with risk for hepatitis B virus (HBV). In this study was conducted on 58 people who were with different ages and gender. All patients were infected with Hepatitis B in the Al-Sadder Teaching Hospital in An-Najaf Al Ashraf province, in the period from Dismember 2021 to March 2022. All study population patients who infected with hepatitis B depending on clinical basis and who diagnosis by RT-PCR (Genexpert system) were positive result, the number of them was 22 men and 25 women. It also included 11 healthy people who were not infected, the number of men was 5 and women were 6.The mean ages of suspected patients was 52.91 years (SD ± 11.045) for males, and 49.56 years (SD ± 10.4) for females. The mean of the IL 6 level was (61.56) mg/dL to male, while (85.97) mg/dL to female and very low level in control. While the mean of the IL 10 level was (55.67) mg/dL to male, while (53.46) mg/dL to female and very low level in control. Keywords: Hepatitis B, PCR, Cytokines, Chronic hepatitis
