Özet (EN)
The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between teachers' level of participation and their organizational commitment. The research was designed in the context of a correlational survey model. The survey model aims to reveal a phenomenon as it exists. In this model, the relationship between teachers 'participation decision making process' and 'organizational commitment' has been examined. "Decision Making Scale" and "Organizational Commitment Scale" were used to measure teacher perceptions. The population for this study included all teachers in Erbil city in Northern Iraq. All teachers were requested to participate in this study. Questionnaires were applied to all teachers who could be reached. As a result, 400 teachers (267 women and 133 men) answered the questionnaires. In the research, personal information form, "Decision Making Scale" and "Organizational Commitment Scale" were used in order to data collect. The personal information form contains the demographic information of the participants. "Decision Making Scale" was developed within the scope of the research. In the first case of scale, there were 19 questions. As a result of the validity and reliability analyses, 4 items were taken from the scale. The remaining 15 items on the scale are collected under four dimensions. These dimensions are; "justice", "responsibility", "care" and "role taking". The "Organizational Commitment Scale" was developed by Allen and Mayer (1990). This scale consists of three dimensions: "affective commitment", "normative commitment" and " continuance commitment". The Cronbach Alpha of Decision Making scale, 825 was calculated for the reliability of all test items. This reliability coefficient indicates that the reliability of the scale is high in decision making. The Cronbach Alpha of Organizational Commitment scale, 804 was calculated for the reliability of all test items. This reliability coefficient indicates that the reliability of the scale is high in organizational commitment. According to findings, teachers think that they are sufficiently involved in decisions that concern them. In terms of factors, the highest participation is in the size of Justice. The second factor is the Responsibility factor. The third place is the Care factor. The lowest participation is seen in the Role Taking factor. The organizational commitment of participants is high in total and sub-dimensions. The highest participation is in the dimension of affectıve commitment. This dimension follows normative commitment. The average of the continuance is lower than the other two dimensions. There is a moderately, linear and meaningful relationship between the dimensions of the decision making scale itself. There is a meaningful and linear relationship between the dimension of "Normative Commitment" of Organizational Commitment Scale and all dimensions of the Decision Making Scale. The strongest relationship emerged between "Normative Commitment" and "Care" dimensions.
