Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the individual innovativeness and tendency for technology use of primary school teachers in terms of different variables. The sample of the study consisted of 560 primary school teachers determined by convenience sampling. 341 (60.9 %) of the participants were female; 219 (39.1%) were male. Descriptive relational survey research design was used in the study. "Individual Innovativeness Scale" was used to determine the level of individual innovativeness of classroom teachers and "Tendency Scale for Technology Use inClass" was used to determine the level of for technology use in class. In addition, demographic data were collected via "Personal Information Form". Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, t test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique and tukey test were used to examine the relationship between the individual innovativeness levels of primary school teachers and their tendency to use technology in the classroom. As a result of the study, it was determined that the level of individual innovativeness and the tendency for technology use in class of primary school teachers' were high and there was a positive correlation between the variables. On the other hand, it was found that the level of individual innovativeness of the primary school teachers did not differ according to their gender, the faculties they graduated from, and whether or not they attended a inservice training/seminar in information technologies, but differed according to their age and whether they see adequate themselves about information technologies or not. It was also determined that the tendency for technology use in class level of participants differed according to their gender, whether they see adequate themselves about information technologies or not and whether they participated in a inservice training/seminar related to information technologies, but differed according to their age, the faculty they graduated, and the categories of ınnovativeness. The findings were discussed in the light of the related literature and suggestions were made for future researches.
