The impact of psychological operations and psychological operations of the terrorist organization in fighting terrorism on families of PKK members

It is known that terror problem that has been continuing for years in Turkey has caused economic and human losses. It is an undeniable fact that military measures have proven inadequate but psychological warfare efforts in the means of dissemination and prevention activities are proven necessary in the fight against terror. Undoubtedly, these activities should not be limited only to "Dissemination and Prevention Activities" of the security organizations. The struggle against terror can only succeed if all the state organs work totally together. This thesis aims to better analyze the contemporary parameters on "terror" reality, which continues to be a chronic trouble of Turkey, in regard to the psychological warfare operations held to this day and particularly by evaluating scientific data on PKK. The research carried out in line with this paradigm uses 'in depth interview' method with the family members of the terrorist organization members, evaluating psychological operations implemented within the scope of information and prevention activities of state institutions. This work not only important for describing what and how the dissemination and prevention activities should be but also for determining the organizational basis for things that can be done at the upper state level institutions. Carried out in compliance with the scientific methods, this research reached valuable findings in the context of achieved results. In this context, this research, which also has an evaluation of what is named as 'SOLUTION', but also possible to be called as the 'Process of Searching Social Reconciliation, expects to contribute determining and revising the inadequacies and inaccuracies of the process implemented to this day and building a framework for a social reconciliation.
