Comparison of Turkey and Finland education systems in social studies

In the research, Turkey and Finland Social Studies education were examined. First, the definition of social studies and social studies education in Türkiye were examined. After examining Finnish social studies education, it is aimed to compare the aims, content, learning teaching process, measurement and evaluation subjects of Turkish and Finnish social studies education. As a result, some are differences were found as similarities in education programs. Subjects that need to be addressed more in social studies education in Turkey are, relations with family, globalization and global values, universal thought, love and respect for animals, production and consumption, historical literacy, economy, human relations, science and technology awareness. It is thought that there is a need to develop and work on these issues.
