Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to investigate peer relationship, social support perception and life satisfaction of 8th grade students that stay in regional boarding primary school education and with their family on the basis of their sex.The sample of the study is made of 625 adolescents who keep on 8th class in regional boarding primary education school and in primary school. In the study, `Peer Relationship Scale? with the aim of examination of adolescents in their peer relationship, `Social Support Appraisals Scale for Children? with the aim of analysis on their perceived social support , and `Brief Multidimensional Students Life Satisfaction Scale? with the aim of looking over their life satisfaction are used. In statistical analyses, 2X2 multidimensional variance analysis are used.As a result of the study, it appears that there are differences in terms of peer relationship regarding to female and male adolescents. It is observed that the scores which female adolescents get from sub-scales such as `Loyalty?, `Confidence and Identification?, `Self Closure?, and `Obedience? of `Peer Relationship Scale? are higher than male adolescents. Perceived social support variable examined in the study differentiates in terms of a type of the school and the social support levels of the adolescents perceiving from their family and their friends who stay in regional boarding primary education school are higher than the adolescents who stay with their family. Moreover, in terms life satisfaction levels, whereas adolescents? life satisfaction level obtained from their family and their friends don?t differentiate, when examined their life satisfaction levels taken from the school, it is determined that female adolescents? ?staying with their family- life satisfaction levels getting from the school are better than male adolescents keeping on YİBO.Keywords: Adolescence, Regional Boarding Primary Education Schools, Peer Relationships, Perceived Social Support, Life Satisfaction
