Effects of high speed train on regional development (Karaman sample)

Transportation system which is seen as an indispensable part of our daily life; has a structure that affects the society continuously with its economic and social inputs. Transportation sector; it has an important place in the economic structures of the societies in terms of the effects of the important investments in the economy. While them obility of transportation increases in parallel with modernization in the social life, the economic-socialstructure of the society, the mode of production and economic interests in freight and passenger transport also reveal a unique mode of transport. In this thesis, high-speed rai way passenger transportation in passenger transport increasingly important over they ears in Turkey are examined. Located in central province of Konya in Turkey transportation network in this regard is based. In order to shedlight on the determination of future transportation policies, it has been tried to formulate journeys based on the current values in order to make predictions for the future. For this reason, the data of Konya was used. In the thesis, in Turkey and in the world, every day transport and investment in this area of increasing importance in the migration routes of the realized social to regions of high speed train lines, economic and cultural aspects are touched upon impact.
