Determination of the mentally disordered integration student's effects toward regular students (A case study in schools of Kocaeli

Between the years of 1983-1997, providing the private special education in Turkey is regulated by the law number 2916, and it?s title is ?Children Who Needs Special Care Education?. The number 573 Governmental Decree, which includes many contemporary improvements, was added to same article of the law in the year of 1997. The Ministry of Education issued Private Special Education Regulations for providers which went into effect in the year 2000. This regulation?s article number 8 describes clearly that every children who enters to age of obligatory education, also every children who needs special care education has right for registration to primary education schools. In the same regulation, the article number 67 explains the description of integration as: the children, who needs special care education shall receive supporting education services and academic education with the regular children who do not have any negative affects of intellectual capacity and ability to function. This study is to determine how regular students effected by the integration students in primary education schools which provide regular academic education. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate these determinations to find out the influences caused by integration students towards regular students. This investigation?s database is collected from 412 regular students, who received education with mentally disordered integration students. These students are from 5 primary education schools which conducted regular academic education within the years of 2005 and 2006 in Kocaeli region. Questions are asked to 3rd 4th and 5th year students which are in first level of primary education schools. The primary education schools are chosen by random method.
