Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the sleep quality, fatigue, physical activity level, quality of life, anxiety and depression levels of patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the last week before hospitalization with a diagnosis of ACS and to compare them with a healthy control group. The research data were collected by questionnaire method. The universe of the study consisted of patients who applied to the hospital emergency service and were diagnosed with ACS. 42 patients with a diagnosis of ACS and 42 healthy individuals were included in the study. Quality of life, MacNew Heart Disease Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire (MacNew); physical activity level, International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-SF); anxiety and depression status, Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS); sleep problems, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI); Fatigue symptom was evaluated with the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) questionnaire. IBM SPSS Statistics 23 package program was used for the statistical analysis of the data. As a result of the analyzes made, the patients with ACS and the control group; All sub-parameters and total MET values of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (UFAA-SF) were similar (p>0.05). However, the habit of regular physical activity in the ACS group was significantly lower than the control group (p<0,05). Patients with ACS; all scores of the MacNew questionnaire were lower than the control group, and a decrease in their quality of life was found (p<0.001). HADS anxiety and depression scores were found to be lower in the control group than in the ACS group (p<0,001). According to the PSQI results in the AKS group; subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance were worse; use of sleeping pills and daytime dysfunction were more pronounced (p<0,05). Considering the FSS scores; It was found that fatigue was higher in patients with ACS diagnosis than healthy controls (p<0,05). As a result; It was found that before the ACS event experienced in patients with ACS, impairment in sleep quality, fatigue, anxiety and depression symptoms appeared and the quality of life was negatively affected.
