Abstract (EN)

Some transformations happen in the structures of words in Arabic for the ease of use and fluency. These transformations as terms are handled and analyzed in the subject of ibdāl which means " using the most proximate letter instead of another one as adjective and output". Iʿlāl which discusses the interconvention of defective letters and hamza and these letters is a type of ibdāl. Ibdāl is more general, but iʿlāl is more specific. In this respect, each iʿlāl is ibdāl, but each ibdāl is not iʿlāl. Considering the general practice, ibdāl analyzes the changes in non-defective letters, however; iʿlāl analyzes the interconvention of a defective letter and hamza. This study consists of an introduction and three parts. In introduction part the subject of grammar and the literature about ibdal and iʿlāl are shortly mentioned and the subject, scope, objective and method of the study are analyzed. Lexical and term meanings, letters, types and examples of ibdāl and iʿlāl are analyzed in the first part. In this concept, lexical and grammatical ibdāl types for the purpose of idgām are analyzed and the examples of regular grammatical ibdāl which rather deal with the transformations in certain subjects are emphasized. Ḳalb which is a interconvention of defective letters from the iʿlāl types and vowel points, naḳl which is the attribution of the vowel point of defective letters to the former non-defective and silent letter and hazf which means omitting defective letters and vowel points are analyzed with their examples. In the second part the method followed in the analysis of the anonymous work registered under the name of 623/5 and "Iʿlāl Rules" in investigated National Library of Izmır is given and the content of of the work is outlined. In the third part the investigated text of the anonymous work is given. Finally, the transcripted form of the text in Ottoman Turkish is prepared. Key Words: Ibdāl,Iʿlāl, Idgām, Ḳalb, Hazf, Naḳl, Manuscript.
