Abstract (EN)
Arteria vertebralis is the first branch to separate from the subclavia. It is the thickest branch among the branches of the artery and emerges deep at the root of the neck and from the posterior-superior side of the artery. It passes through the foramen transversarium of all neck vertebrae except C7 and comes to the skull base. Passes through the sulcus arteria vertebralis and enters the skull cavity through the foramen magnum. It punctures the dura and arachnoidea mater and enters the subarachnoidal space. In the sulcus bulbopontinus, the arteries of both sides merge to form the arteria basillaris. Anatomical and morphological variations of arteria vertebralis are important for diagnosis and surgical procedures in the head and neck region. Our study was performed on a total of 206 images obtained by multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) angiography method in 129 male and 77 female patients aged 18-65 years without any vascular pathology. On these images, bilateral 5 diameters, 5 areas and 3 lengths were measured. The origin of 206 AVs on the right and left sides was examined. On the right side, 13 (6.3%) originated from the arcus aorta, while 22 (10.7%) originated from the arcus aorta. When the entrance level to the transversarium is examined, on the right, 189 (91.7%) of 206 AVs are at the C6 level, 13 (6.3%) are at the C5 level, 1 (0.5%) are at the C4 level, and 3' It was observed that the majority (1.5%) entered at the C7 level. On the left, 191 (92.7%) of 206 AVs were at the C6 level, 10 (4.9%) were at the C5 level, 2 (1.0%) were at the C4 level, and 3 (1%) were at the C4 level. 5), on the other hand, it was seen that he entered at the C7 level. AV diameters were measured at the C6 level on the right and left sides. According to the measurement results, an AV diameter of less than 2 mm was defined as AV hypoplasia. 20 (9.21%) of 206 cases on the right side; Thirteen (6.31%) of 206 cases on the left side were hypoplasic. The measurement results obtained in the study were analyzed with the SPSS 21 program. The relationships of the parameters between the parties, gender, age groups (18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-65 years) and the relationship of each parameter with each other were evaluated. In conclusion; To avoid unexpected events associated with abnormal arteria vertebrals, the course and morphometric features of the arteria vertebralis and arcus aorta should be considered before any procedure in the local area.
