Evaluation of the effectiveness of Turkish folk music training in Bursa - Osmangazi folk education center

In this study; the situation in the determined application was identified and suggestions were made for the problems by the questionnaire applied to the students and teachers about the Turkish Folk Music implemented in the Bursa-Osmangazi Public Education Center of the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Lifelong Learning and conducted within the scope of the protocol within the Directorate of Orchestra Branch of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Department, and this module was made to provide more positive contributions to community life. The questionnaires were composed of fifty-eight questions including personal information, current status of educational activities and opinions on improving educational activities. The views of teachers and students were examined and suggestions were made to contribute to the scientific sense. The content of the Turkish Folk Music Training programs , module hours, gains and applicability were examined by comparison method. For this purpose, the contents of the course programs of Turkish Folk Music Garip Scale, Turkish Folk Music Hüseyni Scale, Turkish Folk Music Education Level-1, Turkish Folk Music Education Level-2, Turkish Folk Music Education Level-3 and Turkish Folk Music Education Level-4 which are all the Turkish Folk Music Training modules and their contribution to education were evaluated. According to the findings of the study, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Orchestra Branch Directorate is the pioneer with its activities and it is one of the best provinces where these activities are widely held. Turkish Folk Music Garip Scale and Hüseyni Scale modules which are among THM modules were prepared by experts and branch teachers of the Ministry of National Education. Turkish Folk Music Education Level-1, Level-2, Level-3 and Level-4 modules were prepared in cooperation by the experts of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Art Department Orchestra Branch Directorate and Lifelong General Directorate. The content, topics and hours of these modules prepared as Turkish Folk Music training programs are presented together with the results of the surveys conducted to the trainees in the sample.
