Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between social anxiety levels, perceived parental attitudes, and endurance skills in early adult individuals. The study was conducted with 257 people between the ages of 18-30 who were selected by random sampling and approved to participate in the study. Demographic Information Form, Liebowitz Social Phobia Scale, Parent Attitude Inventory and Resistance to Distress Scale were used for the survey. Statistical analysis of the data provided by the participants was made and the results obtained were compared with the literature. Independent sampling t test, One Way Analysis of Variance and Pearson Correlation were applied by considering the normal distribution as the statistical analysis methods. In addition, Linear Multiple Regression Analysis was applied to examine the explanatory value of the variables. According to the findings of the study, it was found that perceived parental attitudes differed significantly according to the variables of gender, parental education level and who lived with the students. In addition, according to the variables of alcohol use, parental education level, income level and students with whom they live, difficulty in enduring difficulty, social anxiety anxiety and avoidance subscale scores were significantly different. When the relationship between social anxiety, perceived parental attitudes and difficulty in enduring difficulties was examined, a significant correlation was found between perceived parental attitudes, difficulty in enduring difficulties and social anxiety scores. When the predictive relationship of the study variables was examined, the difficulties of enduring the distress were significantly predicted by the age and social anxiety avoidance subscale scores. As the results, age decreased and social anxiety avoidance scores increased, students' difficulty in resisting difficulty increased significantly. It is predicted that the findings obtained in this study may contribute to both further studies and practitioners by evaluating perceived parental attitude and related psychological factors.
