Abstract (EN)
There are three major stages in human's life (these are birth,marriage death)From ancient times to present day, these stages are believed as special moments for every society and each human. Humans created various believes and traditions at these periods important for them and they kept them alive until today.all of them took their form in human 's own culture. This study is about birth ,death and marriage in İslahiye province depending on Gaziantep. In first section was given informations taken from written sources about folk culture and then added believes and traditions taken from verbal sources. By being studied on these informations carefully , ıt was tried to reveal similarities between old turkish culture and traditions In second section is about –mazlum- monuments connected to anonym folk culture. It was understood that central asia and especially the believes and culture of Anatolia have got crucial effect on the folk culture ongoing in İslahiye. Key words: İslahiye, transition periods, birth, matrimony, death.
