Our study was completed with a mother of 46 children with CP. Mothers were appointed to groups randomized. Telephone calls were made with 22 mothers for 4 weeks, 2 twice a week. The first and last values of, were compared. The level of the child with CP was evaluated according to the gross motor function classification system (GMFSS). As a result, in the GOLI group's the mental status (p=0,001), physical activity level (p=0,003), sleep quality (p=0,001), occupational performance and satisfaction level (p=0,001, p=0,001), life quality (p=0,001) and caregiver burden (p=0,001) improved. In the control group's sleep quality (p=0,013), occupational performance (p=0,009), occupational satisfaction (p=0,021), quality of life (p=0,003) and caregiver burden (p=0,011) worsened. No significant difference was found in other parameters. In the light of these findings, further studies with long-term follow-up of GOLI are needed. As a result, it is thought that it would be beneficial to include GOLI, which has a positive effect on mental state, sleep quality, occupational performance and satisfaction level, and quality of life, in interventions for mothers who care for children with CP.
