Abstract (EN)

Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) is one of the most important thinkers in the history of Islamic thought and is best known for the science of umran. Therefore, he has been more addressed in the context of the issues and debates that contain in the science of umran, and in areas such as history and politics i.e. However, when these studies have been took a look, it can be seen that many studies have either neglected the ontology based on his thinking and the epistemology based on this ontology, or have not given it its rightful place. We believe that in order to understand Ibn Khaldun, his revelation-based ontology and epistemology must be put forward first. Based on this claim, we tried to put his ontology and then to explain his epistemology based on this ontology in order to overcome this deficiency we observe in his studies. We have seen that Ibn Khaldun has an original idea of being and his idea of being is based philosophically. Finally, this conception of existence distinguishes it from the classical philosophical tradition. We have come to the conclusion that Ibn Khaldun's original philosophical system provides for us a new philosophical system today and we have tried to discuss what kind of possibilities it contains.
