Abstract (EN)

Shafi'i sect developed within the Sunni tradition and over time it spread to different regions of the Islamic geography. Muhammed b. Idris Al-Shafi'i ( d. 204/820 ) who is said to be founder of this sect has been one of the most important people in the histoy of İslamic thought. Staying with Imam Malik, Imam Shafi'i gathered information from him and was influenced by his views. Later, duting the time when he was in Baghdad, he had the opportunity to gather knowledge from Muhammed b. Hasan Al-Shaybani who was one of the represantatives of Ahli Rey Canonlaw. At the same time, Imam Shafi'i is an hadith scholar and is the owner of the hadith back named Al-Musnad. al-Kutub al- Sıtta is the name of the six hadith books that contain a large part of the sahih hadiths. It was seen as the most important source after Quran by the scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah. In the first chapter, the life of İmam Shafi'i and information about his time were presented. Furthermore, İmam Shafi'i's accounts about the obligatory and validity conditions of the Friday prayer were presented. In the second chapter, the accounts of the writers of the al-Kutub al- Sıtta about the obligatory and validity conditions of the Friday prayer were given and evaluations about this topic were made. Additionally the hadiths narrated by Imam Shafi'i and al-Kutub al- Sıtta authors were compared. The differences in the narrative between them are presented in this way.
