The effect of cooperative learning up on mathematical achievement and attitude: A meta-analysis of findings

In this research, experimental studies comparing the effectiveness of cooperative learning method to traditional method up on mathematical achievement and attitude are combined together meta-analytical review method. 26 (n= 36) studies are included in to the meta-analysis. Mean effect size calculated for the achedemic achievement is d++ = 0.59 ( 95 % CI: 0.38 to 0.80). . This is middle scale, positive and significant effect size. the effect size calculated for the attitude toawrds math is d++ = 0.16 (95 % GA= -0.20 ile 0.52). This is small scale, positive and significant effect sizeAt the end of the research, it is found that according to the traditional learning method of cooperative learning is more successful in terms of both achievement and attitude.Keywords: Cooperative Learning Method, Mathematic Achievement, Meta-Analysis, Effect Size, Attitude
