Abstract (EN)

The acceleration and differentiation of the phenomenon of migration cause new discussions in the discipline of international social policy with the globalizing world. These discussions have started covering the migration movements caused by climate change, that is most discussed case of global crises today, and the environmental deterioration which is the reason of people who have to emigrate. Considering the number of people affected by migration movements caused by climate change on a global scale, it is clear that it has vital importance. Although a large number of reports, articles, etc. on a global scale related to such an important phenomenon have been written recently, it is widely accepted that there is a lack of data on this issue. In particular, the discovery that there is not enough research in our national literature and in the context of social policy has led to the idea of conducting this study. This research will be very useful in terms of eliminating the deficiency in the literature, being a source for future studies, and emphasizing the necessity of mentioning human mobility when dealing with climate change. Decisively understanding the relationship between global climate change and its migration movements is essential for policymakers in the context of predicting future migration flows and making arrangements and producing policies accordingly. Key words: Environmental migrants, displacement, global climate change, migration, migration caused by environmental degradation
