According to fiqh methodologists of Maliki sect khabar as the source of sunnah

The Sunnah of the Prophet and understanding it and transferring it from generation to generation without neglecting its purpose has been the most important goal of Islamic scholars, especially muhaddis and jurists. Therefore, the news subject has always been on the agenda in determining the circumcision. In the Mâlikî sect, almost all of the proceduralists, especially Imam Mâlik, put forward their views by being involved in the debates that emerged around the concepts of news, hadith and sunnah. In general, a similar understanding of circumcision prevails in the sect in question, but there are some differences in some issues. Particularly, the issue of the presentation of living circumcision to the news is a very remarkable issue. In this context, the introduction of the concept of the application of the people of Medina to the literature was seen as an expression of an understanding specific to the Mâlikî sect. On the other hand, it is striking that there is a different perspective on the roles of the concepts of hadith types such as mursal, muhdelles and mevquf in the classical hadith method in determining the circumcision. In the Mâlikî tariqa, what is important is not whether the concepts determine the circumcision from a technical point of view or not, but whether the news expressed with these concepts are compatible with the circumcision of the living. In other words, it is possible to say that text criticism is extremely important in Mâlikî sect.
