Educational dimension of the Mevlevi rites

After Mevlânâ's death, his son set up a İslamic Monastery based on the ideas which has been out forth by Mevlânâ and his grandsons has been improved. Thanks to its favorable approaches and good relationships with politicians, it keeps its presence until present-day. Darvish lodges (Islammic Monastery) has been used literally like schools. To be institution or conservatory is the part of their nature. Dervishes are taking different kinds of trainings and after all this educational journey with a spiritual ritual they chance their status to "dede". When they get this statue they get right to do "Sema Çıkarma". Every step of "sema" has reguirements such as different kind of education type and has also different meaning. İn this study, we will focuson educational dimension of Mevlevi Rituals and Will address materially and spiritually benefits and positions of Dervish When they are doing "Sema" ceremony.
