This research, verses of the Quran, Hz. In the light of the hadiths of the Prophet and the narrations narrated by Sunni and Shiite commentators, the meaning and importance of the term Ahl al-Bayt is accepted as a subject by using data collection and document analysis methods. On the other hand, it tries to explain the characteristics and high morality of the Ehl-i Bayt. Since the Ahl al-Bayt are the family of the Prophet, they have a high share in representing and maintaining the Prophet's morality and character. As an ancient problem, the meaning and status attributed to this term by Shia and Ahl as-Sunnah are discussed comparatively in the light of the commentaries of both sects.
