New human imagination in Turkish novel (1923-1938)

Mindscape and action plan of modernization, in short, is to act on the basis of an antitraditional thought. The dynamics of this world are thought, knowledge, management and life that move away from the hegemony of the Church, accordingly religion. As a result of the rise of modernism and the strengthening of the bourgeois class and the disintegration of the Empires, both the withdrawaling of the religious structures that formed a higher bond in Europe and tending the dissociaton of the social stratification legitimized by Church and patronized by nobility, it has created the need for a new state organization, social structure and individual definition. Bourgeois, the new power dominating the rule, established the state organization as a hegemonic nation-state for the needs mentioned in this process, produced the concept of nationalism to create a new feeling in the society of 'ancient regime and tried to redefine individuals using a nationalist feeling which is distant from the religion/Church. Thus, a new individual, different from the Medieval European, emerged. The founders of the nation state in Turkey, in a short period of time, in its own territory, has experienced the similar of the West's experience . They hoped to reach the strong economic, political and state structure of the West. Within the scope of what has been told, the work named New Human İmagination in Turkish Novel, by emphasizing to their speeches, descriptions, thoughts, exclusionary and accepting characteristics of characters/types/representations of novel designed in accordance with the ideology of power, examines to being indicated new human in the novels of the authors in the process of transition from empire to nation state, and being imposed this new human to the society by novels.
