The relation between the prosocial behavior of the citizens of Republic of Turkey to the Syrian under temporary protection status and their religious attitudes: The example of Ankara/Altındag

Abstract (EN)
Our research is about the prosocial behavior with religous motivation of the citizens of Republic of Turkey, who live in Ankara/Altındag, to the Syrian refugees who left their countries because of the civil war began in 2011 and moved to Ankara/altındağ province of Turkey. Although our study is a quantitative research, comprehension, interpretation, comparison, association analysis, interpretation and evaluation methods and techniques based on literature review were used in the "Theoretical Framework" section. In this study, it is tried to be analyzed if the citizens residing in the Republic of Turkey in the Ankara /Altındag still under the influence of religiosity support the presence in prosocial behavior to the Syrian refugees in the region, how do they support. Our thesis study consists of five chapters including Introduction and Conclusion. In the second chapter titled "Theoretical Framework", it's examined that the necessary migration of the Syrian because of the civil war, the concept of international protection status of the Syrian in Turkey and the phenomenon of Syrians in Ankara / Altındag. Also, it is discussed that the concept of helping as prosocial behavior and the related classification, approach and effective factors. Thirdly, it is examined the view of religions to help and the relationship between religiosity and helping from various angles. The questionnaire of "Prosocial Behavior Survey for Syrians with Religious Motivation", it is used the "Chi-Square Test for Two Variables" to test whether there is any difference in expressions on the basis of variables. In the fourth section titled "Findings and Comments", it is analyzed that interpreted and evaluated the levels of participation in the 20-item questionnaire statements were applied to the participants in the 5-point Likert framework according to the seven variables specified in the personal information form. From the findings of our study, it is understood that the local people living in Ankara / Altındag province have a positive attitude towards Syrian immigrants and are willing to provide them with all kinds of prosocial support. It is found that groups within each variable generally support the statements at a high or medium level, and some groups at a lower level. Considering it a religious duty to protect Syrian women and children from being abused; being disturbed when an injustice is done to Syrians; considering the payment of the wages they deserve to working Syrians a religious duty; being influenced by the verses and hadiths that encourage help to the needy and to turn towards helping Syrians; thinking that othering Syrians is incompatible with religion, are the substances with the highest participation. "I do not see Syrian refugees in our country as a burden" and "I love Syrians" material to the low turnout in the Republic of Turkey citizens in this area implies that a dislike formed against the Syrian immigrants.
