The study of Kurdish identity and politicization process in cultural context in Turkey

In the 1800s, particularly as a result of the activities of Western missionaries, Kurdish rebellion had began to emerge in Anatolia. The studies had been done one after another on Kurdism and the rebellions had been encouraged to the people. According to some sources, the basis of the rebellions what emerged in this era and extanted to present-day is said that the Hamidiye Regiments that was established in II. Abdülhamit term. In this study, the conversion process of the becoming a legal-political structure of PKK the terrorist organization which increasing their bloody action after particularly 1980 and arguing "the Kurdish people's spokesman", emphasis on the Kurdish culture, ethnic origin and Kurdish structure and the connection of the internal policies with the media is intended to reveal.
