Abstract (EN)
Migration, which is defined as the process of movement from one place to another in general terms and is a reflection of the human story in this respect; When the time and space dimension is examined, it has an unceasing quality. The phenomenon of migration since the 20th century, which is described as the migration age, has a scope that has regularly developed its popularity in the field of social sciences. Even considering the number of refugees worldwide as of 2021, it reveals the extent of migration mobility. The migration mobility, which is the subject of this research, is related to the developments experienced after the World War II. During the recovery period after the war, countries that entered in the process of industrialization demanded workers from neighboring countries in order to provide the labor force they need, which has led to the formation of a new migration story. In 1961, Ankara Agreement signed between Turkey and Germany has these qualities. This labor migration, which was planned for a short term in the first period, was replaced by permanence in the following years. This research, which has a history of half a century after the immigration of Turkish workers, aims to discuss Turkish immigrant women's identity transformation process that began to live in Germany. In the field research carried out in 3 important cities of Germany where Turks live in, women's general identity perceptions, collective identity perceptions and cultural identity perceptions were tried to be measured by considering generation differences. Findings obtained as a result of the study; reveals that significant differences is not observed between the four generations from Turkey to Germany, Turkish women struggle to protect their cultural and collective identity against the German culture and identity.
