Abstract (EN)

Dictionary; The works that explain the words, terms and idioms of a language in alphabetical order are called. Undoubtedly, dictionaries are the works that best reflect the memory of words and meanings of a language. Especially dictionaries are important sources that show cultural interaction. The Turkish-Arab relationship was shaped by the acceptance of Islam and caused many Arabic words to be translated into the Turkish language. In addition to taking too many words from Turkish Arabic, many words have also spread from Turkish to Arabic. When the dictionaries made in history are examined, it is seen that bilingual dictionaries such as Divanü Lügati't-Türk and Mukaddimetü'l-Edeb were written. In this study, the Arabic-Turkish dictionary named Kitâbu Müntehab, which is registered with the number 64 Karaali 13 in the Uşak Karaali Mosque Collection in the Ankara National Library, has been examined. While examining this work, first of all, the language and morphological features, syntax and spelling of Arabic-Turkish words are explained with examples. In the work, the first and second letters of the words are given in alphabetical order. Again, examples of some words being animated and immobile have been identified. It has been observed that while some words are explained in the work, some are not. In his work, the author tried to indicate the plural letters sometimes by writing the letter 'cem' and sometimes the letter 'c'. In the second part of the study, the translation of the text was made and the data obtained in the conclusion part were evaluated.
