Özet (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the perceived organizational climate and job satisfaction of physical education and sports teachers. For this purpose, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The population of the research consists of physical education and sports teachers working in public schools in Turkey, with a sample group of 304 individuals. The "Organizational Climate Scale" and "Job Satisfaction Scale" were used as data collection tools in the research. The normality assumption of the data was first examined with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests (P>0.05). In the study, whether the total scale scores and sub-dimension total scores differ according to gender and marital status variables was determined by the Student's t-test, and whether they differ according to age, education level, professional seniority, and school variable was determined by One-Way ANOVA and Tukey multiple comparison tests. Additionally, the relationship between participants' total scale scores and sub-dimension total scores was determined by Pearson correlation coefficient. In the research, no statistically significant difference was found between the job satisfaction scale and organizational climate scale total scores and sub-dimension total scores according to gender (except for sincere teacher behavior). Statistically significant differences were found in the sub-dimension total scores of the organizational climate scale according to age and school variable (except for restrictive principal behavior), while no statistically significant difference was found in the job satisfaction scale. According to education level, no statistically significant difference was found between the job satisfaction scale and sub-dimension total scores of the organizational climate scale (except for directive principal behavior). According to seniority, no statistically significant difference was found between the job satisfaction scale and sub-dimension total scores of the organizational climate scale (except for considerate teacher behavior). Finally, no statistically significant difference was found between the job satisfaction scale and sub-dimension total scores of the organizational climate scale according to marital status. The study concluded that there is a positive relationship between organizational climate (except for restrictive principal behavior) and job satisfaction. Keywords: Physical education and sports, Job satisfaction, Teacher, Organizational climate.
