Abstract (EN)

The Islamic religion, to which we belong, commanded us to read it before all the prayers in our holy book, the Holy Quran (Alak, 96/1). Our Lord, who brought us out of the darkness of nothingness into the realm of being, sent the Prophets and revealed the secret of our creation. The Last Prophet, Muhammad (s.a.v.) with the coming of the first revelation, initiated Islamic education and training activities in the mosques, and the Companions' homes in order to prevent and rescue people from ignorance. With the increasing number of Muslims, mosques and houses were insufficient for Islamic education and training activities. However, madrasas emerged as more regular educational institutions. General information about madrasas is found in many studies. The aim of the study is to introduce the Ohin Madrasa, which is an important example of the madrasas and has not been involved in serious academic studies and has been carrying out their activities for more than one hundred and fifty years, and especially for the benefit of society and religious educators. Of course, the reasons for the emergence of the madrasas before discussing the Ohin Madrasah were briefly discussed. Then, the founders of Ohin Madrasah, professors, the scholars trained there, the works produced and the sciences taught here, are discussed. In this study, one of the qualitative research methods, semi-structured interview and literature survey method was used. Ohin Madrasah was visited and the Ohin Library was examined. Ohin Madrasah's managers were interviewed. When the Ohin Madrasah was visited, it was found out that two hundred students in Alaiyye Madrasah read the ordered books in the madrasah and also had memory training and Mustafa İbrahim, a "sophisticate" scholar brought from Egypt, gave practical Arabic and English speaking training. Keywords: Ohin, madrasah, professor, mysticism, religious education, education, education, scholar
