Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of a 6-week program including speed, agility, and quickness (SAQ) training on shooting, dribbling and passing techniques in young female football players. SAQ (Speed, Agility and Quickness) Training is a combined training program that includes speed, agility and quickness components. In the research, the pretest-posttest model of the quasi-experimental model, which is one of the experimental research types, with an unequal control group was used. 24 young female football players between the ages of 15-17, registered to Muğla Athletic Sports Club, participated in the research. Participants were divided into two groups as experimental group (n:12) and control group (n:12). SAQ training program was applied to the experimental group 2 days a week for 6 weeks, in addition to their normal training. The control group continued their normal training 3 days a week. Before the study, after anthropometric measurements (height, weight, waist-hip circumference) were taken in the pre-test measurement of the experimental and control groups, the Mor-Christian General Ability Football Test was used to measure football technical skills (dribbling, passing and shooting). At the end of 6 weeks, posttest measurements of the two groups were taken and recorded. SPSS 26.0 IBM Package program was used for data analysis. Since the sample size was smaller than 30 (n<30), the normality distribution was checked with the Shapiro Wilk Test. It was observed that the data met the normality condition (p>.05). Independent Sample T Test was used to detect the difference between the groups, and the Paired Sample T Test was used to compare the intra-group pre-test and post-test values. In our study, the level of significance was accepted as p<0.05. At the end of the study, when the pre-test and post-test values of the experimental group were compared, it was seen that there was a significant improvement in passing, shooting and dribbling values in the post-test. In the control group, no significant difference was found in the comparison of pre-test and post-test values. When the post-test values of the experimental and control groups were examined in the comparisons between the groups, it was seen that the experimental group improved statistically significantly in shooting and dribbling values compared to the control group, but there was no significant difference between passing values of the groups. As a result, it has been seen that SAQ training, which is applied in addition to football training, has a positive effect on some technical features. Therefore, the application of Saq training in addition to football training can help football players improve their technical skills and increase their match performance.
