The development of Gölmarmara in the first 70 years period of the Republic: Economic, social, cultural and trading terms

With this study, named the development of Gölmarmara in the first 70 years period of the Republic., the changes in Gölmarmara is tried to be examined in economic, social and cultural and trading terms. While doing this, it is also aimed to study county?s cultural and folkloric values and and by recording them it is aimed to keep the traditions, which are sinking into oblivion, alive.In order to have a better understanding of the following points, at the beginning of the study some findings are given such as brief history of Gölmarmara, its geography and climate. Then, according to these findings the politic, economic and human fundamentals are fixed and the changes are handled in following parts.Then the study continues by examining demographical changes of Gölmarmara and changes in education, agriculture and farming, trade and craft. Then, the activities of the municipal, which is the oldest foundation, are showed. Then the part is completed by giving details about the social and cultural life in Gölmarmara.In the last part of the study, the traditions are examined. It includes the traditions which were alive until the past 25-30 years such as engagement and wedding ceremonies and customs about birth, death, circumcision feasts and some local believes.Keywords: Gölmarmara, Republic, Economy, Social Life, Culture
