Evaluation in the context of occupational health and safety conditions of the employees in the journalism publication with fuzzy multi-measure decision-making methods

The communication network among individuals increases the importance of each passing day with the presence of mass media.The media sector is one of the leading areas where these communication tools are used.It is known that employees are exposed to various risk factors in news production, production and broadcasting processes. In our study, it was aimed to determine the effect levels of various risk criteria on the employees considering the conditions and social status of news broadcasting employees. Occupational health and safety conditions of the employees were determined based on the opinions of decision-makers who are experts in the sector and the physical, psychosocial and ergonomic conditions of the employees were analyzed with "Fuzzy AHP "and" Fuzzy AHP - Fuzzy TOPSIS "hybrid method. When the results of the Fuzzy AHP and Fuzzy AHP - Fuzzy TOPSIS hybrid model are analyzed, it is seen that the most risky group affected by the determined criteria is the "Regie and Editing Group".The risk ranking on all alternatives is; "regie and editing group> camera front group> camera, sound and light group> production and management group".According to the results obtained, all employees in the news media are considered and employees are most affected by psychosocial risk factors.In the calculations made considering the sub-criteria, the risk criterion on a global scale was "mobing".Within this framework, suggestions were made by taking into consideration the working conditions of employees in the news broadcasting industry and the levels of risks arising from these environments.
