Abstract (EN)

Aman, means "to secure, asylum, to protect someone's life". In this research, to make a comprehensive evaluation of aman practices, firstly we deal with the concepts which use to giving aman. Than we try make a comparison between these concepts and using these terms in Islamic period which it gained new meanings and new area of practicing. Beside conditions of give aman we give some examples of oral and written amans. In addition we give some examples which show us in the case of need there is no distinction in terms of religious identity. It is underlined also contribution of aman during Hicrah which has an important role in Islamic history. In Meccean period while Muslims in aman takers position because of they need more protection, after the Hicrah in Medina they became aman givers because of their victories in wars and spreading of Islam. After conquest of Mecca, however we see a common practice of aman. We also see, in spite of hostilities against the Prophet and early Muslims in early times, Prophet behaves kindly those who ask aman. This shows us prophet did not behave in a sense of revenge, rather he preferred to forgive in general. Some peoples became Muslims abandoning their prejudices after giving aman are remarkable. We have referred to dictionaries in searching the concepts, and we have used books of seyar, magaze, history and hadith for examples of aman. Keywords: Aman, Asylum, Jew?r, Safety of life, To secure.
