Abstract (EN)

As it?s known, when analyzed historically, the emergence of the concept of ownership has made the transition of the society from primitive, classless to class obligatory. Transition to class society has lead to the gathering of capital in minorities and thus the implementation of the exploitation. Social and economical changes affected the ownership relations, these changes have resulted in historically significant events.In the first part of the study, the concept of ownership is explained and main approaches concerning ownership and its forms have been analyzed. The reasons underlying the rise of ownership, changes from commune life of people to capitalist ownership have been analyzed with regard to the economical, religious and political events happening throughout Europe. Scientists contributing economical life with their ideas, point of wives of philosophers for the concept of ownership, and main speculative ownership considerations have been studied as well.In the second part of the study, economical structure, domestic and foreign trade relations, features of production and social structure, and the relations with Capitalist system of Ottoman Empire have been emphasized, arguments concerning ownership issues through Ottoman Empire have been studied and the relations between the fall down of the Empire and capitalist production have been analyzed.In the third part, starting with the negative picture of early years of Turkish Republic faced, changes within economy policies, positive or negative results of those policies in Turkey?s economy have been emphasized and transition period of our economical system from 1923, the foundation year of Turkish Republic, to capitalist economy and success and failures faced through that period have been analyzed.Key Words: Capitalist Ownership, Feudalism, Timar System, İzmir Economy Congress, Düyun-u Umumiye
