Abstract (EN)
The term of "muhsan" that normally means "protected as a castle", and is originated from an Arabic word "حصن "takes part in The Quran as metaphorical meaning that means the protection of the honor. That mean contains also the marriage and independence as the instruments of being honorable. In the first chapter of this study, it has been handled the conceptual framework of the word, the meanings of dictionary, its technical meanings and related concepts. In the second chapter, it is tried to trace; which is prefered as the meaning of the word mentioned above in the exegesis, the results of the preference differences and the discussions connected with these results. Although the word has been used in relation to the root meaning in several verses, they are not in the form of "muhsan" and in the structure of "ism-i mef'ul" (means the participle form of a word in Arabic). The places where this word is used in the "muhsan" form are related to the protection of honor and as a result of this, it is mentioned about issues related to marriage law and the slander that targets honor. Because of the basic discussion topics such as being married / unmarried, being free / concubine, the People of the Book / not the People of the Book , being honorable / being dishonorable are directly connected with the meaning of the word "muhsan", it has been deemed it appropriate to examine the verses of this word by grouping them according to these focal points. After revealing the conceptual framework in this part, in the second chapter, it is made a fundamental distinction between the use of independent women and the use of honorable women. In this regard, the differences between the concubines and independent women are tried to reflect as these subtitles; the influence of the People of the Book / not the People of the Book or being a Muslim to the law of marriage and the decisiveness honor in the choice of marriage. It has also had to be addressed partly in these discussions; the definition and the content of the phrase "the People of the Book" , who will be deemed honorable according to the Qur'an and the effects of slavery law on marriage. Since the law of marriage occupies a very wide and detailed space in the Qur'an, it is deemed to appropriate to give enough space to the understanding of the concept. In the third chapter, it has been examined the verses about "kazif haddi" (means crime of slander targets honor and purity of a woman. These are widely used in the Qur'an, both in terms of history of "fiqh" (Islamic canon law) and also vi in terms of the ranking of the verses bestowed. Since the use of the term "muhsan" for those who are victims of the "kazf" crime (means slander targets honor and purity of a woman) is related to the honor emphasis of the word, it hs been given details about the "kazf". In addition, since the verses related to the "kazif" were placed on a historical basis about the event known as the "ifk event" in Islamic history, it was important to understand the concrete equivalence of the concept of "muhsan". So, it has been tried to address this issue with these details. Keywords: Muhsan (protection of the honor), honor, married, free, slander, protection,
