Competitive advantages of knowledge management in hotel administrations

XI SUMMARY Organisations need various strategies to be successful in the global competitive environment. These strategies can arise in the ways as taking different position in the marketplace, taking preventions to passivize the competitors or creating cooporalion with other organisations. There exist a common strategic resource at the essense of these similar strategies. Organisation, those having knowledge and using this knowledge effectively at the right time advantages for making it common strategic resource, can achieve competitive position for their goals. Several researchers from strategic management have concensus about the sustainable competitive advantage of knowledge as a key value. The strategic role of the knowledge provide inspiration to several studies at the era of the new economy. As the theme of this study, effective use of knowledge and thus achieving competitive advantage is considered in hotel businesses. Within this perspective, hotel businesses will realize that identifying and developing knowledge management within their own organisation will be their greatest competitive advantage.
