Abstract (EN)

This study was planned to investigate the effect of plantar skin resistance on endurance in soccer players. 25 professional football players between the ages of 18-30 years were participated to the study. Plantar skin resistance in the dominant and non-dominant foot was measured by a multimeter device. The Yo-Yo Test was used to evaluate the endurance of football players. Statistical analysis of the data was done with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 package program. The players dominant side plantar skin resistance value was significantly lower than the non-dominant side (p <0.001). There was no significant relationship between the dominant foot plantar skin resistance value and the age of the football player, BMI and the duration of playing football (p> 0.05). A significant inverse strong correlation was found between the dominant and non-dominant side plantar skin resistance values and Yo-yo endurance test results in football players (p <0.001) (r -. 77, -. 82). As a result, it can be said that as the plantar skin resistance value decreases in football players, the Yo-Yo test result increases. As a result, it was observed that plantar skin resistance is a variable that has a determining effect on the endurance and performance of the football players. The height of plantar skin resistance negatively affects endurance in football players. As a result, skin resistance measurements should be included as amethod used in football player evaluations.
