Abstract (EN)
An important part of Turkey's energy needs is met with fossil fuel energy sources. The lack of fossil fuels to be sustainable and lead to pollution of the renewable energy source, wind power has led to be a very important energy source for Turkey. Turkey Wind Potential Atlas (REPA, 2006) shows that when analyzed our country's wind energy potential is high. The initial installation costs of wind power plants are high. For this reason, it is very important to select the power plant installation sites correctly to ensure high efficiency from the power plants. There are many criteria that influence the decision-making process in choosing a wind power plant installation site. Therefore, wind power installation site selection is a complex decision-making process. In this thesis, the main criteria for selection of wind power plant installation site are determined as economic (land cost, incentives, distance to roads, ground structure, distance to electricity transmission lines), technical (wind speed, capacity factor, slope, altitude) and environmental - social criteria (noise, bird habitat, distance to airports, distance to residential areas, distance to protected and cultural heritage areas, distance to military zones, distance to forests, distance to forests, distance to lakes and distance to agricultural areas). The sub-criteria were determined by using laws and literature studies. In this thesis, considering the wind speeds over REPA, 3 power zones were determined in the southeast of Amasya province (RES_1), north (RES_2) and southwest (RES_3). MOORA method (Multi-Objective Optimization on basis of Ratio Analysis), which is one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making methods, has been used in the selection of the most suitable installation location. The weight of sub-criteria of economic, technical and environmental-social criteria for use in decision-making is determined by taking the opinions of three experts in the field. Determined criteria values and benchmark weights were used in MOORA method. Using the MOORA method, the plant installation locations are listed. According to this ranking, the most suitable wind power plant installation site (RES_2) was determined for Amasya region.
