Determination of current perception levels of health personnel's employee health and safety

This study is a descriptive field study which aims to determine the levels of perception of worker health and safety culture of health professionals working in Artvin Provincial Health Directorate hospitals. In this study, the data were collected through the Employee Health and Safety Culture Scale developed by Yorgun and Atasoy. In SPSS for Windows 16.0 program, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient determination analysis was performed for the construct validity of the scale, confirmatory factor analysis for the test bread, and the compatibility of internal validity. Kolmogorov Smirnov / Shapiro-wilk test was used to test the compatibility of the data with the normal distribution. Variables were analyzed by Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) according to their normal distribution. Sperman Correlation test was performed to determine the relationship between scale factors and overall scale value. Results 95% confidence interval of p <0.05 was considered significant. Study; Overall average and percentage (3.74 ± 0.67, 75%) and the highest average and percentage (4.05 ± 0.74, 81%) are Infection Prevention sub-dimension, lowest mean and percentage (3.52 ± 0.93, 70%) are Violence Prevention sub-dimension. Between the perception of worker's health and safety culture and gender, training on employee safety occupation, education, age groups, working time in the unit and total status of service year showed a significant difference. All sub-dimensions of the scale were found to have a significant relationship with both the overall perception ratio and p <0.01, and 8 of the total 15 hypotheses that were accepted were rejected. According to the results of the analysis, it was observed that employees' perceptions of Employee Health and Safety Culture were high.
