Abstract (EN)

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of exercises performed with functional sports equipment on sedentary women's quality of life and their body compositions. For this purpose, one-group pretest-posttest research design was used in the study 21 sedentary women, aged between 20-47 years living in Gaziantep who started sports after the pandemic lockdowns ended, voluntarily participated in the study. The Quality of Life (SF-36) scale and their body measurements were used as the data collection tool. A 12-week and three days a week training program with functional sports equipment was given to the participants. As a result of the study, when the pretest and posttest averages of the data were compared, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the posttest (p<0.05). Similarly, when body composition measurements were compared, statistically significant differences were found between pre- and post-measurements (p<0.05). Consequently, it could be said that exercises performed with functional sports equipment positively affect the sedentary women's quality of life and their body composition.
