Abstract (EN)

In order to study the Qur'an Interpretation changes through the centuries. I took one word only during the research (Aya), to simplify the study. I compared the meaning of the word (Aya) in two interpretations; Altabary, and Alqasimi, that ten centuries separated between them. First, I studied the semantic evolution of the word from the Pre - Islamic era through the first centuries of the Islam, to the modern ages. I collected all the phrases with the word (Aya) from the Qur'an and looked in the two interpretations for the meaning of this word. First, I mentioned the 9 similarities between the two interpretations which they are often the linguistic meaning of the word. Then I mentioned the differences, Altabary has three more interpretations, and Alqasimi has five more interpretations. The modern ages affected Alqasimi interpretation by using some contemporary terminology in order to interpret the word (Aya). When he interprets verses containing words like sun, moon…etc. He uses words like cosmic and mental evidence, combining it with his knowledge in space science and the modern scientific inventions. But in the other verses interpretation Alqasimi relied on other interpretations from former interpreters. Alqasimi quoted some verses interpretation from Altabari, which made similarity in some verses interpretation Key words: Aya, Semantic, Etymological, Altabary, Alqasimi.
