the effect of gender perception on attitudes of university student towards homosexuality

The research was carried out to measure the relationship between university students' attitudes towards gender perceptions and genders and to contribute to the literature. The study sample consisted to 371 university students that studying in Haliç University Sütlüce Campus. In this study, Socio-demographic Information Form, Gender Perception Scale and Attitudes Towards Lesbians and Gays (LGYT) Scale add were used to collect data. SPSS 25 program was used to analyze the data. As a result of a simple linear regression analysis to determine how gender perception perceives the attitude towards lesbian / gays, there is a significant relationship between gender perception and attitude towards lesbian / gays. As a result, it was found that gender perception was a significant predictor of attitude towards lesbian / gays.
