Abstract (EN)
In recent studies, it has been found that pulmonary rehabilitation positively affects general health status both in respiratory diseases, in improving lung capacity and in lung cancer patients. There are a limited number of studies in the literature showing that pulmonary rehabilitation of lung cancer patients receiving chemotherapy positively affects recovery and overall health status. In our study, the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation applied to lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy on respiratory test, exercise capacity and quality of life was investigated. Thirty patients with lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups of 15 people each. Both groups were administered Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) to measure respiratory functions before and after pulmonary rehabilitation, 6-Minute Walking Test (6 MWT) to measure exercise capacity, and Lung Cancer Symtom Scale (LCSS) questionnaire to measure life in lung cancer. Physiotherapist threshold 20 repetitive exercises twice a day for 8 weeks, bronchial cleansing style, coughing exercises and active breathing cycle were applied to 15 patients in the treatment group. Breathing practices and coughing practices were taught by giving the control device only home program. Independent Samples Test, and for variables that the group was dependent on before and after treatment, analysis was performed using the Paired Samples Test. There was no real significant difference between the control group and the treatment group in terms of gender, age and mean body mass index, and 30 individuals reported similar cases, except for demographic data. In the treatment method function test against treatment, a significant difference was found in forced vital capacity (FVC), first second forced expiratory volume (FEV1), peak flow rate (PEF) (p <0.05), while FEV1 / FVC and maximal mid-expiratory flow There was no similarly significant difference in the rate (FEF 2575%) (p> 0.05). A significant difference was found only in FEV1 and PEF values in the control group (p <0.05). FEV1 and PEF values were significant in both groups (p <0.05). In 6 MWT and LCSS questionnaires, the treatment group accompanied by a physiotherapist was found to be beneficial compared to the control subjects after pulmonary rehabilitation (p <0.05). As a result ; The physiotherapist sample 8-week pulmonary rehabilitation pad, home exercise program were statistically more significant than the control.
