Spiritual study of childhood trauma and depression levels lived life satisfaction of adults

Individuals have the effect of trauma they experienced in childhood is felt heavily in the advance portion of their lives. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between childhood trauma, depression and life satisfaction. The participants of the study between ages 20-45 are and residing in Istanbul constitutes. Life Satisfaction Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory and the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire was used as the data collection tools,. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods (Number, Percentage, mean, standard deviation). To examine the relationship between gender and the scale of quantitative data were compared with t-test; for age, marital status, education level and monthly income, ANOVA was used. However, in order to reveal the relationship between childhood traumas, life satisfaction and depression, Pearson Correlation Coefficient was checked. According to the findings there ise a positive correlation between childhood trauma and depression. On the other hand, there ise a negative relationship between childhood trauma and life satisfaction. The age of the participants is significiantly effective on depression. There is a statically significiant difference between marital status and emotional abuse, physical abuse, physical neglect, emotional neglect, sexual abuse and depression. Educational status is effective on emotional abuse, physical abuse, physical neglect, emotional neglect, life satisfaction and depression while the income level is on emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and depression.
